E. Employees' Access to the Website

  1. Versatile employees

THNC will try to hire the most qualified people with both a passion for new technology and for helping educate people. Our Quality-Empowerment work environment will encourage employees to share their skills with others and to develop the ability to multi-task. Working at a "THNC-station" (see Section L), they will perform their assigned work while intermittently helping members. THNC hopes to reduce its costs of operations by not employing a separate group of employees that only answer telephones. Another benefit is to increase the quality of answers by having members talk directly with employees that know the database best.

  2. Gather and evaluate information

THNC's database grows as employees gather data and information from hundreds of sources. Everything must be screened -- evaluated for truth -- before being added to or edited into the member area of the database. As soon as verified information is put into the member's database, it can be seen and used by members on the website.

  3. Research for product preparation

Employees may use another portal (i.e., not the thnc.org website) to access the database. They will be conducting research, preparing Educational Presentations, books, live presentations (webinars), and other work. We will use eReader formats and other popular media.

  4. Member support

As described above in paragraph E.1 (Versatile employees), employees will be able to answer members' calls while doing other work. Employees will access members' online membership information and will respond to member services questions about membership issues, retail store information, specifics about THNC products.

  5. Roles of Volunteers

In the online environment of THNC, there are opportunities for service by volunteers. One scenario would be a volunteer talking with a member until a THNC employee was available. The volunteer could ask the member basic questions about their satisfaction with THNC, update personal information in the member's records, and share a few details about new products and services. It is possible that some members may enjoy talking with a volunteer rather than listening to "elevator music" or advertisements about THNC.
