Besides the large-scale database and a database management product, THNC will also use common business applications. Here are the needs that are known right now:

1. Office applications
1. Business applications for scheduling; financial planning; critical and strategic path planning; email and Internet products;
2. Processing membership records -- fund-raising, IRS records requirements for 510(c)(3) corporations, basic address and member preferences; contribution history, etc.
3. 990-PF and other complex government forms -- completion and access to needed information
4. Employee records -- personal records, vacation and personal time tracking, payroll, etc.



2. Publishing applications
1. Design software for product packaging: books, pamphlets, DVD covers, etc.
2. Publishing products for books, scripting for seminars, Educational Presentations, etc.
3. Video production and editing; webinar, website, and other presentation services such as production, online scheduling, and routing to members' location via the Internet
4. Text editing and other publishing software
5. Project planning and scheduling products;



3. Business management tools

   A goal is to meet all small-shop needs while looking forward to the possibility of large-shop needs:

1. manage expenses and budgeting, plan resources, and coordinate resource management;
2. coordinate satellite offices, subsidiaries, and employees working at locations all over America;
3. critical path and strategic planning;
4. tracking for each grant, usage requirements, compliance, and budgeting
5. track membership records and member donations;
6. retail store activity, orders, receipts, overhead, etc.
